Si bien es cierto que ‘Easy Lover’ fue escrita por tres personas (Phil Collins, Phillip Bailey y Nathan East), cuando se lanzó el tema como single se le acreditó la autoría tan solo a dos (Phil Collins y Phillip Bailey). Esta canción apareció en los álbumes ‘Serious Hits…Live!’ (1990) y ‘… Hits’ (1998) de Phil Collins. Además, el tema fue incluido en el disco como solista de Phillip Bailey llamado ‘Chinese Wall’.
2. ‘Easy Lover’ fue todo un éxito en el Reino Unido, al punto de ubicarse en el primer puesto de la lista de éxitos de dicho país durante cuatro semanas. Por otro lado, en el Billboard Hot 100 de los Estados Unidos, el tema logró el segundo lugar. Debido a su gran distribución en el país norteamericano (más de dos millones de copias vendidas), el sencillo fue certificado con Oro y Platino por la Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
3. El video musical de ‘Easy Lover’, que actualmente tiene más de 30 millones de visualizaciones en Internet, fue premiado con un MTV Video Music Award en 1985.
